R.I.P. Pitch June 3, 2007 - March 13, 2008

We lost our youngest buck on March 13, 2008 due to a tragic accident. We found our sweet, little Pitch when we went to do our morning chores. We are guessing he was eating from the hay feeder when the two older bucks decided to get rambunctious and knocked over the feeder with Pitch attached. This happened as we were waiting for better weather in order to do some barn renovations, the feeder being one. This was a very tough lesson on our learning curve. Needless to say, the feeder was immediately fastened to the barn wall. Our hearts are heavy.
